New Heritage Solutions is an East-based Community Interest Company. Since 2010 we have been working with a range of organisations highlighting and celebrating local heritage and using the past to help us understand the events of today and tomorrow.

An example of one of our past projects is The Eighth in the East. This was a three-year Heritage Lottery Funded project that ran from 2013 to 2016. It aimed to promote and record the built and social legacy of the 8th United States Army Air Force during their time here in the East of England in World War II. Concentrating on people and places, and working with communities across the Eastern Counties, the Eighth in the East explored this history to: support the work of volunteers who care for this heritage, encourage new blood into museums, develop resources for visitors and future generations, develop people’s skills and bring communities together through this shared past. The public engagement strand of the project culminated in a touring production of the play Somewhere in England by Polly Wiseman produced by Eastern Angles Theatre Company. The production toured between March 9th – June 4th 2016 visiting 48 venues and delivering 66 performances.
